Gratitude: One of the Most Powerful Emotions On Earth.

“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” ~ Zig Ziglar

Make Gratitude Your Attitude of Choice

The act of gratitude has tremendous power as well as countless benefits. In fact, the benefits of consciously practicing gratitude are actually measurable.

Every aspect of our life can be improved if we are grateful. We become more relaxed and more resilient; less envious and more social. Our marriages are better, and our relationships are deeper. Even our careers benefit as our ability to make decisions improves, our productivity increases, and our goals become easier to achieve.

Gratitude also tends to make us less materialistic, less self-centered, and more optimistic with a higher sense of self-esteem. Top all that off with the fact that we also sleep better, get sick less often, and feel more energetic – how could we possibly not want to put more focus on it in our lives?!

Gratitude Makes You Happy

Optimism and gratitude go hand-in-hand. Together they make us happier and healthier. When we have an optimistic outlook on our current circumstances, we also have a more optimistic outlook on our future. Be grateful and smile!

Intentional Gratitude

I honestly believe that just about everyone who is happy is also full of gratitude. What separates the women from the girls, and the men from the boys, is taking time each day to be intentional about the gratitude you´re feeling.

To do this, simply spend a few minutes each day writing down what you’re grateful for.

You don’t have to make this a long, drawn out ordeal. You can do it in as little as five minutes a day. Write down at least three things that make you thankful. I find that keeping a gratitude journal makes is super easy to be intentional about appreciating all the good things in my life.

Do this daily and – within 6 months – you´ll feel a major shift in how happy you feel.

Give it a try, you’ll see.

How To Multiply Your Gratitude

The more gratitude we experience, the more grateful we feel. Be intentional about your gratitude, focus on it daily and not just the intensity of those feelings will grow – you´ll also find more things to be grateful for in your life.

What I´m Most Grateful For:

My daily list always starts with the same things…I’m Grateful For:

  • My sobriety
  • I’m cancer free
  • My courage
  • Jimmy’s love & support
  • My tribes of friends

And then I continue with the things I’m grateful for that specific day.

So, tell me: What are you grateful for?

Take a moment and share a few of the things you’re grateful for with me here.

This is truly one of the best things you can do for yourself. Even if you don’t feel like it – especially if you don’t feel like it. Nothing beats back the blues like getting your gratitude on!
