The Wild Within Is Calling: A Poem

What is it we fear?
What holds us back?
What keeps us tied to certainty?
To the need to have it all figured out?

The mind has cut us off
From our wildness,
Our instinctual nature.

Rather, told us to do
Or not do,
Based on force,
Obligation,
Pushiness,
And fear of instability.

Has conditioned us to believe
In safety in things,
Money,
Outward sources.

We fear a loss,
Of the world as we know it,
But it has already
Been lost.

The flux of transformative power
Is here.
And we are along
For the ride.

Will we make choices
From the mind?
Or from the wiser,
Instinctual one?

The deeper wisdom
That knows what is
Best for us as a whole.

No longer individuals,
Pushing for own agenda,
That is the old way,
That has died,
Unless we resurrect it.

The battle will be futile,
Though.
To fight,
To push,
To try to control,
Is the dying old way.

Can’t we see that?
That these ways
Weren’t allowing for our
Innate nature to
Come through.

There is an older
Way,
Asking us now,
Will we trust it?

Will we trust the chaos
On the surface and know
It is being sorted out
On a deeper level
We may not see yet?

Can we trust ourselves and
The universal ties between us all
To know how to move forward?

Even if it’s not a forward,
But a side step into
New territory,
Take our time,
This time.

Take even more time
To restructure.

The fear of the new way,
The ties to the old way,
The deeper rooted nature
Of the oldest way.

Trust,
And surrender.
Trust,
And surrender.

Align with the spirit within you,
The animal within
You.

We are forever tied
To these ancient parts
Of us.

Wiser,
Ancestral,
Deeper roots,
Of forgotten nature.
