The Game

I like to play board games. One of my favorite games to play is Monopoly. The players select who the banker will be. The banker may be an observer of the game or an actual player. If the banker plays a dual role in the game, make sure he/she is a person of integrity, good at counting, with a good amount of focus. The startup money is distributed; equally. Each player receives the same amount of money according to the “rules”.

The game begins. We all start at the same place and roll the dice to see who moves FIRST. The person that rolls the highest total is the first to move. Each player is required to go around the board once before collecting money for passing go, going to jail, purchasing property, or paying up if landing on someone’s property. This one time around the board reminds me of scouting the land. You know what you want to buy and you know where you don’t want to land once property begins being purchased.

Over the years Parker Brothers have released multiple themed versions of Monopoly. Currently, we’re in one version of the game. You have free will to choose how to play the game. You don’t have to follow the “rules” to the tee. Now, in my family, we change the rules of the game. It makes the game more interesting. We put money under free parking, and we set up payment plans.  WE adjust the rules; it makes the game more interesting.

You can be any token you want to be in this game you chose to come here and play. Do you know where you want to land when we get on the other side of this transformation? Play smart. Play strategically. Play to win. The goal is not to go bankrupt. Morally.
