An Ode to Autumn & Letting Go. {Poem}

The landscape
Will keep
Changing.

As we grow,
As we shed,
As we let go.

And as we hold
Onto what’s here,
What’s real,
What matters.

Even when
We don’t
Get it “right,”
May we try again
By trying less.

Remember
The love
We are,
Only when
We act out
Are we forgetting.

Need gentle
Reminders,
Fluid waters
To cleanse.

Step back
From stormy skies,
Breathe into
Open space.

Let go,
Surrender,
By accepting
What’s here.

The outer landscape
Shifts as our
Inner landscape does.

Sees with a new eye
The missing
Source
That never
Was missing
After all.

Tend to
Growth,
And harvest
The fruits
Of inner weeding.

Shadows,
And lights,
Colors,
And
Shades
Of changing form.

Remember,
Remember,
Remember.
What’s here will
Change.

But what’s here
Remains
Deeper bud
Of love,
Embodied
In new form.
