Human Beings

Why are we here? What are we doing, with the time that we have been given? Being Human can be a truly wonderful experience. What is it, to live a life with meaning?

Heroic statements like You are here to be your true self or unleash your full potential are very common in health and Meditations retreats these days but what is it like and what are the requirements, to be your true self or unleash your full potential? Living a life, filled with Meaning is the requirement and the result of the full Human potential.

So how, do we live a meaningful life? We have to stop turning away from Suffering. We have to stop looking away from the fact, that millions of humans live in fear due to war, hunger, or violence. We have to stop looking away from those who need help, those who are lonely, those who have no hope, those who have no one to love. We have to stop looking away from the fact, that we cut trees, drill into the Earth for oil, make animals our slaves.

We don’t live life in a Meaningful way, only thinking about oneself. Thinking about others, being less selfish is truly Meaningful. We are only guests here, our time is limited. Reach out to your friends and family, help a stranger that needs a hand, show kindness where no kindness has to be shown, listen to those that need someone to talk to. Stand up for that which is just.

When we expand Love, beyond ourselves and chosen circle of friends and family, to a wider more all-encompassing Love, you will become compassionate, kind, and emphatic. Living and Loving in Dark Times, like right now, when greed has poisoned our minds, corrupted our hearts, blinded our vision – you can be a source of strength, showing compassion, acting kind, and feeling empathy towards others. Not just for some Beings, but for all beings. The Kingdom of heaven is not in one man, nor a group of men but in all men – Charlie Chaplin.
