About this you are correct—I am not wired for long-term commitment.
This is one thing we can both agree on, and I will never attempt it again.
I love you more than I have ever loved anyone.
If it was going to work with anyone, it would be with you. This is my truth.
Part of figuring things out has been acknowledging and accepting that I am not wired for a long-term commitment.
Anyone I encounter in the future will know this from the start. As you pointed out, it’s only fair.
I wish I had been honest with myself sooner, then I could have been honest with you sooner.
I wanted so much to be what you needed. I am not. I realize that now.
I want all good things for you. I always will.
You can hate me, but there is never anything that will stop me from loving you.
I can’t love you the way you need and deserve.
I will never stop wanting good things for you.
I will no longer try to be someone other than who I am.
Loving me means loving the version of me that is, not the version of me that you want me to be.
Wholehearted love from your future ex-wife…
