The Girl With The Red Guitar

Poetry has been my life and for last two years the work is flooding. The gates have opened and what arrives comes and there are no revisions only poetry that speaks from the heart. Wherever you are today and whatever you are experiencing in life take some time to settle in and read this. Let go if only for a little while and pause. Come back to how you feel in your body. As you read let yourself become light.

Ask yourself the following?

What thoughts come to you as you read?

What fills your heart?

What stirs the soul?

This is a poem that emerged after a day of  reflection and solitude.

Listening to music the grace notes pull my heart

Drifting in a sea of blue, a ship created by you.

I write and you play with color.

A brush caresses a shoulder

Draw me near.

Spinning fast I can barely catch by breathe.

Soft lips part in prayer – blessed be.

There she does that girl with her red guitar

There she goes

These hands, this heart and this golden pen.

In your painting I walk on celestial stars.

Looking out I see that girl “there she goes courageous and free ”

I write on and you paint a story as the music plays on.
