We still share the same sun, moon and air

Photo by Alexandr Podvalny on Pexels.

She is not the one wanting this war,
but she is the one leaving her home.
I am not the one playing this game,
but I am the one feeling the pain.
As a mother and as a wife,
do you really want her to choose
who to save, who to leave behind?!

I always thought the world is smart,
going to school, building your home, finding your path,
now everything fits in a box,
looking for shelter, looking for food, hiding like a fox.

You try to teach me the history behind,
but let me tell you the story of my heart.

I was born to smile, love and play,
to feel free all the way,
who cares if borders are here or there,
we still share the same sun, moon, and air.

I somehow believe we are all born the same,
no matter where we are, no matter what we have,
but the kind of love we receive on the way,
will put us in a good or bad play.

So please, please, please,
take care of people, not flags.
