Leaving my home church

My name is Angel Trigoso, and I have come to the conclusion that it’s time for me to leave Manhattan Bible Church (MBC). After hearing a powerful sermon, I realized that it’s not me that is worn out. It’s just that my oil has run out and it’s time to move on. I have experienced a lot of delays ever since I came here in 2010, to my family problems at home, to not fitting in, and not being understood in regard to deliverance and incorporating that into worship. I realized coming back home is not always the best thing.

However, God allowed it to happen, to develop my character for 13 years. I tried to leave so many times under my own strength, but I have struck out because God did not say go. Today was a different story, and the Scripture of reference comes from 1 Samuel 16:1, “The Lord said to Samuel, ‘How long are you going to mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn and go. I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem because I have selected a king from his sons.”

What I got from this passage was that I have stop mourning the past and move forward to what God has for me. He has promised good things for me, a lot. I realized being in a dry church is not healthy at all; it affects every area of our lives, including finances, jobs, family, health, emotions, and our personal walk.

Therefore, I thank you MBC the best twelve years because it was there where I learned to depend on God not people. So, may God bless you always.
