Kristin Shewfelt

Kristin Shewfelt may be a Los Angeles native, but vividly recalls her Grandmother’s stories as a Chicago flapper girl, like many women giddy to flap her wings after the right to vote was finally won. With that adventurous spirit, Kristin studied Spanish and Latin American literature, trained as a classical vocalist, taught school both at home and in Italy, and spent many years in Colorado working and raising her daughter. Kristin has made the full circle back home, where family closeness means everything, knowing that the ongoing journey is filled with stories longing to be told.
