Veena Chatani

Born and raised in the Islands, Veena Chatani feels like a Caribbean Queen—an Indian/Dutch/Jamaican with hints of American influence. Her parents left India in the 1950s and settled in Curacao, a little Dutch island in the Caribbean. She attended college in Massachusetts and lived in the Virgin Islands for a few years with her husband. They are now settled in Jamaica, where she presently works as a manager in retail. Veena is the mother of two birds who have left the nest. She has a daily yoga and meditation practice, which she loves to share. A few of her favorite things are going on nature walks, traveling, yoga, writing, learning, painting, dancing, and volunteering at the children’s home.
