It is so beautiful when you know your own culture and respect it…we all different and I found it extremely nice and feminin for a woman to dress in saree…each dot represents a stage in life the black dot you single and the red dot on the forhead you are married…☺ your tali…as well as your patli…we don’t go to happy hours…but we are in kovil and mendhil until 6AM…there is tea…cake…prayers…song…and even dance…there is all to be happy…in a typical way…☺ for some it might be a little too much…but we do not eat a whole day to protect the welfare of our hubby…yes our culture different…but beautiful…we even have an elephant…his name is ganesha…Lord ganesha…yes a Lord….☺
