Windows open. Blinds softly scattering in the breeze. Robins, Blue Jays, Finches, all contributing their chorus in the distance.
The HVAC system quietly humming above, around, below my feet.
Adolescent students interrupt the comforting murmur of the silent library. Their demanding voices cascade through the open doors and drown out the Finche’s whistles, the Robin’s song, and the Blue Jay’s cries.
Tune out the excess noise. Erase the intruding disturbance. Focus on the silent call of nature’s soul.
