This is the brunch I made for myself on Father’s Day.
I know it’s cooked (not raw vegan), but screw all that!
Ingredients (Total cost about $1.75):
Two of the best eggs you can find (pasture raised, local*)
Three heaping tablespoons kimchee**
One dollop mayonaise*
Quick squirt mustard*
Splash of olive and/or flax oil*
Dash of cayenne and/or black pepper*
Palmful of spring mix salad, torn into pieces*
Sprinkle of flax seeds*
Seven borage flowers***
* Organic
** Make the kimchee yourself or purchase at local farmer’s market.
*** You’ll have to plant borage flowers in your garden.
If you don’t know how to boil eggs for egg salad, research that part using Google. Get the hard boiled eggs out from their shells, then chop. Mix in all ingredients, then stir and mash together (EXCEPT the flowers).
Find the best loaf of bread you can find, bring home, toast two slices. In this case, it was rosemary bread. Spoon egg-mix onto toast, arrange with flowers.
The purpose of the kimchee is to get probiotics into your digestive tract along with adding better flavor. Anybody can add kimchee to any recipe including guacamole or any type of salad (including potato*, tuna, macaroni*) or topping crackers with sardines or craft (raw milk) cheeses*.
Cayenne is anti-fungal and anti-parasitic.
Black pepper stimulates chi-powers.
Raw olive and flax oil is beneficial to the human liver to help purge the many petroleum-based chemicals, which we are exposed to daily, from becoming stored in our brain-tissue.
Flax seeds and fresh salad help to move the whole thing down the digestive tract to facilitate internal waste removal.
Borage flowers supply micronutrients and make an ugly meal appear more palatable.
Eating-off locally crafted pottery dish is optional, but if you have discovered it, a must-have.
Chew each bite thoroughly. Wash the whole thing down with small sips of champagne, after making a toast to family (those you love), who will probably getting around to phoning to wish you a happy Father’s Day between supper and bedtime. Therefore, if you plan on a party, start early.
Enjoy!
