Can’t seem to put a finger on why Saturdays mean so much to me, and counting down to it seems to be the greatest comfort amid the trap of mundane existence in our busy weekday rush…
Is it the lure of those quinessential trails uncovered in the search for greater adventure, basking in the fantasy that the jungle is where we truly belong?
Or the friendship which has naturally blossomed into cameraderie so strong among a group of adrenaline junkies, so diverse in backgrounds yet bound by a common identity?
Perhaps to realise a hidden potential in the ability to torture ourselves climbing up those steep slopes just to roll down the hills unscathed in a speed pushing our limits?
Or simply the need to let our hair down and laugh at the most ridiculous jokes which are largely centred around the primal theme of sex?
Hmm… Five-O… Grateful to be part of this amazing concoction. In our Deer Leader’s words, “out to ride, have fun and enjoy a glass of beer”. Cheers!
