Let it Go
How often have you expected something from someone only to be disappointed when it didn’t work out in your favor? Who’s at fault and to blame here? Is it them for failing to deliver or you for having an unrealistic expectation? Let’s say the expectation was very logical. Still doesn’t change the outcome. Bottom line is had you not expected anything there would have been little to no chance of experiencing disappointment. It’s natural to expect others to do for us as we would for them, but that’s rarely the case. Truth is, we’re not in control of what others do or say. We don’t determine their actions. So many of us have grown accustomed to having things our way that we throw temper tantrums when it goes otherwise. The time is now to grow up and stop trying to control everything and everyone around you. No adult needs to be told what to do or how to do it. Let people live their lives to their choosing with no interference from you. Learn how to exercise your right to remain silent if you don’t like how things are going especially those things that are beyond your power to change. Why constantly put forth energy trying to correct what isn’t your problem to fix? If you exhaust all your resources on others, what do you have left when your own battles arise? Your way of living doesn’t set the standard for others. Everyone is entitled to choose his or her own path in life. Just because they decide to take a different route than you don’t mean they’ll end up at the wrong destination. Get over yourself & stop thinking you have it all figured out. Truth be told, those that invest so much time interjecting themselves in the lives of others do so simply to prevent them from dealing with their own issues. The more time you spend looking at others allows little time to focus on self. I’ll end by saying this, none of us are above the other. No one is entitled to receive any more than they give. Stop trying to force things on others as a way of making yourself feel better. Get over it & Let it go!
