For the rest of the day at least, our Moon is still in the lunar rhythm of Sagittarius. The time of day when we experience the energy change as the Moon transits into the next sign [Capricorn] differs for us around the globe but we all “get it” at the same instant. Today, then, we are under this cosmic rhythm until 5.50 p.m. EDT in the US, and for those of us in Europe either 10.50 or 11.50 p.m. [further east in India the transit will be three to four hours later, tomorrow morning].
This is “stepping in” and “stepping out” energy when we’re exceptionally cooperative and ready to give one another the benefit of the doubt. This influence stimulates a mood or atmosphere conducive to tolerance, consideration for others, warmth, and openness. We might notice ourselves being more forthcoming, optimistic, and generous than usual. There’s a different intensity to this month’s lunar vibrations, and I’ll explain why: we’re intuiting and considering the quest for meaning, drawing on history after tuning into teachings that we cannot ignore.
Those of us in regular yoga, zen, meditation or other ancient eastern wisdom teaching system will naturally be able to sense and be more intuitive at this time of the lunar 28 day cycle. I’ve been teaching in this way for some time now: flowing with our daily Moon cycles and cosmic energies for the freedom to flow of our Soul’s vital life energy, with teachings in zen, yoga and meditation practices. I’m not an astrologer, and so it has taken a while to work the teachings and practices out and flow with it myself.
I call it Freedom To Flow as that is exactly what happens, a natural feeling of being in harmony with the flow of existence through our practice.
This is the Youtube video of me reading a beautiful piece from the Upanishads, the sacred texts of yoga. And this is what I meant by tuning into teachings and drawing on the ancient wisdoms to aid our own search for deeper meaning. I think this version is one of the nicest, most hopeful translations : it’s often known simply as “I Do Not Know”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu5VJE1_qCQ&index=4&list=PLbYKdByITt48CfqxbggIQufeSTvsn8pC4&t=353s
