My status quo is that I have been getting sicker for a while. Don’t exercise much due to my ill health. Struggling to eat, huge swelling and in terrible pain for a while. The Dr told me recently that I have esophagus cancer and colon cancer. I am going to see a surgeon next week and have more tests.
I am feeling tired and sad. Finding it hard to beat cancer. I had colon cancer for such a long time before. It looks like the cancer is spreading. I wish it wouldn’t and could go home. I am tired of being alone and harrased with cancer. And I feel for my young kids….. I can but hope that my cancer is not so bad….
And I have to say how much I hate this disease. How much I hate cancer, even if I had never had it in my 30s. And cancer is probably the biggest killer in the world. Most people know someone who has or had cancer. Cancer has no boundaries or prejudices. You can get cancer anywhere, at any age, whatever your background, whatever your lifestyle (ie you can eat healthy like me and get cancer or eat huge amount of junk food and get cancer) or appearance, that is the reality of cancer. I wish people would stop smoking though to not get lung cancer inevitably . I do not smoke.
Most cancers people don’t know how you get them. I know a lot of women get breast cancer and my mother died of it long ago but there are so many other cancers out there. So ladies check your breast, get your smear tests (and I know it hurts).
Gents check yourselves too, coz men get prostate cancer.
Ladies and gents any periods of diarrhoea, constipation or swelling or abominable pain get your bowel (colon) checked out .
Any throat problems ie swelling for a while, get your throats checked. Double check your arthritis. And I know a lot of these can be amounted to immune diseases or allergies or ibd or just an infection. But I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to get tested for cancer.
