Today is World Elephant Day.
A day to band together against poaching for ivory and hunting for trophy sport.
A day against greed, a day to support the organisations that fight to save our beautiful, intelligent elephants all over the world.
The WWF states that,
“Poachers kill about 20,000 elephants every single year for their tusks, which are then traded illegally in the international market to eventually end up as ivory trinkets. This trade is mostly driven by demand for ivory in parts of Asia.”
The fourth international conference on the illegal wildlife trade will take place in London, October 2018. Let’s do what we can to assist their efforts with our own.
Click the link below and you can find out how to take action and do your own part to halt these horrific crimes.
Sign the pledge, donate or even adopt an elephant. Anything you do to help is a step in the right direction.
Show your support by sharing this post and doing what you can to care for and celebrate these animals.
