I am a woman who is learning, each day, what it feels like to blaze my own trail by openly sharing my ideas, stories, and experiences. I am fortunate to have been blessed with many challenging life experiences – from surviving cancer to losing a spouse to suicide to being a caregiver for my parents to relocating and changing course multiple times.  I have been to many dark places along my life journey and I hope to help change the conversations we have about our mistakes and our dark spots – the things we are often told we should not talk about publicly.The truth is that the painful experiences have provided me the rich and deep learning that has often had others describe me as wise beyond my years.  And now, at 47 years young, I have garnered the courage to out myself – to stop worrying about looking good and start sharing my failures, trials, and triumphs through writing.  It has been something I have always wanted to do but have been too afraid for most of my life. It is my hope that the words I share here will be of service and touch the hearts of those who need to hear them.  I am here to be a catalyst for others to feel they are perfect as they are – feeling free to fail powerfully, live authentically and have the courage to follow their hearts.  ♥️ I practice and teach mindfulness and meditation and run a coaching practice, working with clients across the country.  I live in Lexington, Kentucky with my husband, two stepdaughters and two doggos Kai and Mia.
