Áine Pierandi McCarthy

Áine McCarthy is a yoga teacher who trained at YogaSource in Santa Fe, NM in a 200-hour program in 2015-2016 and a 36-hour Yin Immersion Training in 2020. She is also a Buddhist chaplain trained and ordained by Roshi Joan Halifax. She served as co-director of the Upaya Institute and Zen Center’s Chaplaincy Program for three years, and as a contributing editor to Upaya’s blog. She was certified as a Labyrinth Facilitator through Veriditas in 2009. Áine holds a B.A. in Religion from Wesleyan University; she studied Buddhism in Bodh Gaya through Antioch Education Abroad. She started Chrysalis, a nonprofit dedicated to offering contemplative and creative programming for post-domestic violence thrivers and womxn in prison. IG: @ainelasagna
