Anja van der Merwe is a language fanatic and musician. She studied BA Language Practice at the University of the Free State and completed her honours degree in Afrikaans and Dutch. After graduating, she started working as a journalist at an Afrikaans news website in South Africa. She defines herself as a dreamer and hopeless romantic, and thrives on the different philosophies in life and trying to figure out life’s secrets in her own way. Besides writing, her biggest passion in life is music. In Anja’s free time, she plays piano and the accordion. She also loves reading, painting, hiking, and playing tennis.
