BOB Sh'mal Ellenberg

First off, I like using the middle name self created, Sh’mal. It came to me during a meditation when I we using two spiritual words for my mantra: Sh’ma the first word of a Jewish prayer and Allah. I took an L from Allah and put it on the end of Sh’mal and there I  had it and it’s been used for the past 15 years. Bio: For most of the past 40 years I worked in social services: one social service agency after another. The paper work  was my downfall, just wasn’t able to maintain what was expect: clear handwriting.  At the time most agencies didn’t use computers and my handwriting was scribbled. I won’t give a full list of  all the agencies which began with Head Start in 1967; the second year was community organizer for the families of Head Start children. This changed my life. Love doing community action work. Sante Fe Community School teacher held and other position 1972 to 1973. Hippie commune  Nogo Arkansas, Shands Hospital visiting patients in their homes and sometimes working in the hospital helping nurses and doctors; Meridian Mental Health Center working with mentally ill patients in the community. Ah, was hired a second time by Meridian  to find housing and be the case manager for 15 mentally ill homeless. I had been volunteering helping homeless and Meridan knew it. This should be enough. I  have stories and essays from much of this work.
