Georgianna Wasia Reid is a recent college graduate from the University of Virginia, now exploring life and living in the moment at a retreat center in North Carolina. She’s served as an activist in various environmental movements, including time at Standing Rock, but has recently decided to take a step back, breathe, and refocus on her spiritual path. She has undergone the Engaged Mindfulness Institute teacher training and is working on meditation curriculum to help activists find their own inner contemplative, so that our social justice movements are healthier, more supportive, and deeply rooted in ethical, contemplative action that end cycles of harm.
