Danielle Olsen is a mystery novel enthusiast and a regular at bar trivia; rarely placing in the top five, yet the reigning champ of “Schitt’s Creek” theme night. Danielle is a cat lover through and through, who adores her furballs, Ruby and Cosmo, despite their hatred (at worst) and nonchalance (at best) toward each other. In an attempt to relate to her students, “Mrs. Olsen” accidentally became a Minecraft fiend, decking her home out with a lighthouse, in-ground pool, giant treehouse, and windmill because…why not?!

Danielle is also a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Education. She is dually certified and licensed in elementary and special education for grades 1st through 8th. Danielle just completed her second year as a cross-categorical special education teacher. This past school year she supported 2nd and 5th grade students with disabilities in the Sun Prairie Area School District. Through her work, she strives to make learning personalized, accessible, and authentic in both general education and small-group settings. Additionally, Danielle hopes to further equity conversations among building staff and across the district.
