Yoga, with a Side of Cultural Appropriation.
Dr. Anjali Talcherkar holds a Ph.D. in Integrative Medicine from Saybrook University and an MA in Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. She is also an E-RYT 200 international yoga teacher with more than nine years of teaching experience across some of the world’s most remote and exotic locations—a journey that’s given her a sharp, insider’s perspective on the yoga industry: the good, the bad, and the undeniably messy.
Her first book, Yoga of Rehab: The Twelve Sutras for Transcending Addiction, offers a science-backed, holistic guide to healing. Her work has appeared in The Ayurveda Journal of Health, Germany’s Ayurveda Journal, Elephant Journal, Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School’s, The BASIS, and other publications.
Anjali is currently at work on her second book, a provocative exploration of dangerous truths and the luminous rebels who dared to speak them—figures who weren’t just ahead of their time, but uncomfortably present in ours.
