Johanna Dehning is a photographer, currently based in a remote village in the Indian Himalayas at 2,300 meters. There she works as a trekking guide as well as on personal photography projects. Through her work she aims to document the raw beauty and simplicity of mountain life. She is especially inspired by the resilience of the mountain people and their deep connection to Mother Earth. Johanna has travelled the world but found herself returning to India and Nepal several times. She has an interest in philosophy, psychology, religions, writing, yoga, and nature.
