I Thought my Nervous System Regulation Skills would Protect Me from Overwhelm.
Karine Bell is a mother, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, scholar-activist, and founder of the Rooted Global Village, a relational un/learning and practice space devoted to cultivating ecologies of care, embodied transformation, and collective world-building. A bi-cultural Black woman and clown-in-training, she explores how we weave ourselves into care ecologies that counter fragmentation and foster radical friendship. Her work centers experimentation, play, and the cultivation of relational capacity, supporting a shift from cultural consumption to creative participation as creators, designers, and world-dreamers. She is a PhD candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute, where she integrates somatic practice with decolonial depth psychology, specializing in community, liberation, Indigenous, and eco-psychologies. She also works alongside Kai a Cheng Thom, Nkem Ndefo and Staci Hanes on the Outer Work project, bridging personal healing and collective action.

We're community-driven. We're dedicated to sharing "the mindful life" beyond the core or choir, to all those who don't yet know they give a care. We focus on anything that's good for you, good for others, and good for our planet.
