Makobu Kimani

Makobu Kimani is a medical doctor based in Coastal Kenya, East Africa. He recently completed a Ph.D. in public health with the University of Amsterdam. He has and continues to work with marginalized populations, including gender identity and sexual orientation minorities in rights constrained settings, such as coastal Kenya. He is a strong believer in social justice and fairness. He strongly advocates for gender equity. He strongly advocates for equal treatment of people despite their station in life. Everyone deserves a fair chance at living their best life. Away from work, he is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys early morning runs and long swims in the ocean over the weekends. He believes that despite all the challenges experienced, it is still a beautiful world.
