An Unusual Romance.
Mark Schneider earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy (Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude) from UCLA, did a semester abroad in Madrid during his Junior year, and speaks conversational Spanish and French. He loves writing, cooking, ecstatic dance, African drumming, and learning about/teaching “non-violent communication” (NVC) and other practices that cultivate empathetic communication. He was an Assistant Trainer for a six-month NVC course in Santa Cruz, as well as a five-day workshop at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur. He lives in Santa Cruz with his partner, Karen, and his cat, Dusty, and he owns an international executive search business.
