Why I’m Sharing Mother’s Day with my Children’s Stepmom.
I live in British Columbia, Canada, with my two brilliant 18 and 14 year old children, Ethan and Ella.
I’m in love with words, like most Elephant Journal readers/writers are. I love the way they have the power to change a person’s perspective, make someone suddenly feel less disconnected and alone, shift an entire life. They’re powerful, transformative and dulcet things that have boundless shape. I can’t get enough of them, and yet I’ve never fully committed to them.
Here, I hope to become accountable to my love of writing and submit words inspired by the real, raw, sometimes heartbreaking condition of being human.
And one day, I hope it becomes a vocation, not just a talent or something that I quietly love in the margins.
