Daya Devi-Doolin

Bio: Daya Devi-Doolin trained with her Guru, Yogi Prof. Bharat J. Gajjar of the Sivananda Yoga Center in Wilmington DE and she trained also during that same period with Yogi Amrit Desai when he was located in Sumneytown, PA and Lenox, MA.  She had over 5,000 hours of teaching and training by the time she joined with Yoga Alliance in 2002.  She has taken additional weekend workshops with other well-known yoga teachers like Doug Keller of Anusara Yoga style, Steve Ross. Daya is currently working with Momence and Heal.me to have on-line classes as well as in-person classes.

She is an Ordained Minister, a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and has been a Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher at the 500 Level (E-RYT 500) from 2002 to 2019.

She is actively involved in the spiritual world community and frequently conducts informational outreach community work. Her workshops and seminars have been highly sought after. Her alternative healing center, The Doolin Healing Sanctuary has offered free healing sessions to PTSD VETS and Abused Women once a month on the first Saturday of each month for several years. She personally is a contact person for www.YogaforVets.com where each can receive a package of 4 week free yoga classes if they choose. She will be partnering with BIPOC this July 30 to bring awareness to the community of her Holistic Healing Sanctuary which opened in 1989 with her husband Chris.

Daya Devi-Doolin was an Expert Healer on the Global Oranum www.oranum.com website for five years which helped her to reach thousands of people throughout the world offering distant healing (remote healing, Reiki). She informs them on how they can heal themselves and she offers free demos to the members, guests and volunteer recipients for healing. She has been a Speaker for the Ozark Research Institute Conventions in Fayetteville, Arkansas for two years.

She is the author of 9 books that deal with yoga, self-growth, motivation and inspiration and two have been awarded national awards which Jack Canfield has won the same award for his category from the EDC Literary Awards. 

In 2013, The Doolin Healing Sanctuary & Yoga received two awards, one for being the Best Alternative Healing Business in 2013 for Orange City, FL and one being among the Top 5 chosen Best Yoga Studios on Orlando’s A List.  In the year of 2015, her healing center was voted as Top 2 Yoga Studio in the Orlando area.

Her books are filled with universal and metaphysical teachings and principles as she shares her emotional journey. She and her husband Chris know about hard times as they were homeless the day of their wedding day.  Someone, who had taken their cash for rent, eventually asked for forgiveness after 7 years by chance meeting on the streets of Philadelphia, PA.  Chris and Daya slept in abandoned buildings with no running water, rotted floors, and no bed, mingled with rodents. They slept under cars while residents slept in the apartment buildings with their cars parked in the apartment parking lot. They played music on the streets of Philadelphia, PA to earn money for food because of their passion for their talent of songwriting and performing with their guitars. They eventually were able to get food stamps and welfare until they got on their feet and purchased their first home within a 2-3 years.

Rev. Daya Devi-Doolin resides in Deltona, FL with her husband Chris and youngest son, Joseph. In her spare time, you can find her reading and writing, relaxing by their patio pool in their lounge chairs, swimming, walking or practicing yoga.
