Pat Mead Higgins is a writer, photographer, gardener, traveler, dreamer, etc. etc, who hails from New York and works as a school nurse in a high school on Long Island. She is passionate about children, animals, rivers, trees, music, art and almost everything else. She recently became a recognized citizen of Italy but still, after numerous attempts involving classes and total immersion, cannot speak Italian. She lives with various housemates and two feral-born cats.
