Rissa Miller is a writer, poet, folklorist, and public historian whose work explores the intersections of memory, longing, folklore, and the beauty of everyday life. A former Senior Editor of Vegan Journal and award-winning Baltimore Sun editor, she has spent decades working in storytelling and literary arts, blending research with deeply atmospheric, emotionally resonant writing.

Drawing inspiration from folklore and human connection, she approaches writing as both an act of observation and a form of quiet enchantment.

In addition to her literary work, Rissa is the founder of Tea & Smoke, where she offers programs and workshops on folklore, esoterica, divination, superstition, witchcraft history, and botanical traditions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. She is also the creator of Haunted PA Online and the author of Room With a Boo and Goodnight, Poet.
