On Exhaustion & Losing Yourself: What to do When Change is Much-Needed.
Vickie McSchooler is a mom, artist, lover of animals and nature. She is also an absolute fan of perfectly placed snowflakes on snow laden trees. For eleven years, she has called Parker, Colorado her home. As the last twenty years have flown by, she has been a stay-at-home mom and occasional artist. She has two children, three dogs, a cat, two squeaky guinea pigs and a very sweet chinchilla. Prior to moving to Colorado, she has built a successful mosaic business. Within that span of time, her oldest child began his very difficult academic journey. She decided that it was necessary to put her business to the side to be his advocate. Little did she know that this would create a passage into learning not only for him but for herself as well. She has shown and sold mosaic works in small galleries and shows as well as commissions. After a long pause, her mosaic work is resuming as an expression of what she has learned to love about life and the never-ending process of becoming. Writing is also a huge passion of hers that she has begun again. She has learned that her life is about creation and honoring her creative spark.
