I hate self-help books. And any books or articles or "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" (or "Power of Now") stuff that don't really speak from experience and don't really give you specific steps towards achievement. When you have a gun to your head, with two kids, a mortgage, and your entire self-esteem at risk, you need PRACTICAL methods for moving forward. And you need them from someone who can speak from experience and say, "this works."1,495 views

I think your view of nakedness says more about you than how conventionally beautiful you are. It’s not about how long your legs are or how much bounce you’ve got in your boobs. It’s about how you approach life.444 views

The Supreme Court has no interest in protecting our rights as activists, so we need to continue the fight for free speech on our own. Animal rights and environmental activists are the low hanging fruit that the government has decided to go after first, but antiwar, civil rights, immigrant rights, and other activists must take notice as well.370 views

The reason forgiveness resonates inside me is because my entire journey is loosely based on my ability, and the ability of my friends and family to have mercy on past actions, and continue to move forward. Here's the thing though, I don't think I have actually forgiven myself for anything, and although I like to think I have forgiven others for some of the things that have happened to me, the more I think about it, I haven't. It's easy to say that you have moved on, but without really forgiving it's impossible to actually do so.859 views
