When we don't charge enough for our services or products and run our businesses on minimal resources, the impression we make on others is not that we offer help but that we need help. Most of us don't really want anything that is not freely and enthusiastically given. Design your business practices so that you deliver your work with authentic generosity so that both you and your clients and customers can thrive.210 views

There are going to be those who react negatively to the notion that money and spiritual teaching can be harmoniously interconnected. Honestly? I don't care. Because I'm living proof that both can happen.1,982 views

How big should a goal be? What does it mean to set goals mindfully? There's no telling how big your right-sized goal will be until you pay attention to aspiration, receivability, and gratitude. It could be much smaller or larger than you first anticipated. What is certain is that it will be squarely in the middle of what is possible for you at this place and time.384 views

The secret is this: take action. Shocking, I know. But people all over the world consistently expect their lives to improve magically, that is, without a change of behavior on their part.80 views

I hope corporations or, more accurately, the people who run them, will look into their hearts and realize that they should be doing what is best for everyone, not just themselves. Otherwise, Christians may have to take it upon themselves to save their souls, and that might not be good for business.160 views

Unlike other girls in 1990s Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, Azaada Khan walked with her head uncovered and her gait fearless. She changed her name to that of a boy’s; her attire and haircut followed, all so she would be allowed to attend school in a country where girls could be punished by law for doing so.679 views

When I read yoga literature, I expect to learn about how to go deeper in my practice – perhaps through different breathing techniques, maybe with meditation tips, possibly because of strategies to get the most out of an asana. Instead, I feel like I’m opening up a catalogue. I have found myself distracted from good stories because I’m enamored with the newest mat comparison chart or floor-gripping gloves.322 views

Is it possible to integrate selling with spiritual principles? Could I be a force for change within the corporate world? Could I integrate work and home, job and spirit, and help others to do the same? I knew now I was not alone in wanting to find a way to heal the split.823 views

The birth of a new society and the building of new institutions with a universal vocation and competence are a prerogative and a duty for everyone, with no distinction. What is at stake is the common good of humanity and the future itself.218 views

I think most of us would agree that we don’t need a lot of money. In fact, most of my friends would say a solid $40,000 - $50,000 after taxes would be plenty to live a good life. Yet so many are barely getting by; so many wonderful people with amazing ideas and intentions barely have enough to eat, let alone fork over cash for a monthly yoga membership. I have a friend who will trade eating properly on a regular basis for taking yoga. Is this the way we should be living?609 views

The game is to study hard, get a good job, make more money, and buy a big house. And all of that equals a good life and "happiness." So what if your life doesn't look like that at all? Are you still successful – by Western terms? What defines success?409 views

We all have the ability within us to know what is good for us and what is bad. Making sense of where we live has a lot to do with our intuitive “hits” and listening. If it doesn’t feel right, look right or seem right, chances are it probably isn’t going to be. Our environment is a reflection of where we are in that moment of time.1,183 views

I am left rather exasperated by the shear infantile behavior of our political leaders, pundits and others stuck in their ideological camps. The are rolling around in their ideas of what is "right" like swine rolling around in their pigsties.641 views

I hate self-help books. And any books or articles or "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" (or "Power of Now") stuff that don't really speak from experience and don't really give you specific steps towards achievement. When you have a gun to your head, with two kids, a mortgage, and your entire self-esteem at risk, you need PRACTICAL methods for moving forward. And you need them from someone who can speak from experience and say, "this works."1,497 views
