"I’ve discovered that the energy of devotion is the same as the energy of gratitude. ... Even here in a place like this it is easy to find gratitude for many things, like having yard every day, for having programs so we can rehabilitate ourselves, for having many like-minded people I can talk to, for getting three meals a day, for the sunshine…”1,119 views

These songs, like the 30 Best Songs of the Year that should be on your Playlist now, are include a few that I somehow left off which happen to be written for the majority of us in mind: imperfectly perfect beings who are not quite in the place they want to be with love and thick in messy stuff of life.1,809 views

After experiencing a situation like this before with Nickelback, I was very surprised to find out that a multinational corporation actually admitted that they basically copied a video on YouTube for commercial gain. I have found out, subsequently, that this is a much more common occurrence than anyone might expect... So rather than causing a permanent mark on my forehead by slapping it every time it happens, I'm trying to look at this particular situation as an opportunity.250 views

Singing increases the cognitive skills in children. The verbal part, along with melodies, rhymes and lines help children with speech development. Research has shown that music has a positive impact on the brain, not only does it calm the mind, but it also sharpens its ability to learn.61 views

My heart is expanding, my head is clear: I am liquid gold. I’m compelled to dance by a visceral force I don’t need to name. The music is throbbing in my veins, taking over. I am an atom in the music, and my very being is merging with the rhythm. Every part of me is pulsating; the music is inside me, causing me to expand. I am riding a wave of love and bliss. I am connected to everyone around me. There’s only here, only now. I AM LOVE.1,999 views

Thousands of people smuggle their vices into the concert gates even though cars and individuals are searched. If one does not bring anything, then no worries, there will be plenty available for the taking. It’s completely normal to find festival-goers walking around a venue selling, buying and asking if they've seen 'Molly.'622 views

Perhaps the song “Je Suis Malade,” by Belgian singer Lara Fabian is not optimistic, but I found it very powerful and meditative. I understand that meditation teaches about how we can detach from all the “destruction” of the world so that we can develop self-awareness. But I always had questions about this.187 views

On a 1987 Swedish television special, Vega said the following about her song: “A few years ago, I used to see this group of children playing in front of my building, and there was one of them, whose name was Luka, who seemed a little bit distinctive from the other children. I always remembered his name, and I always remembered his face, and I didn't know much about him, but he just seemed set apart from these other children that I would see playing. And his character is what I based the song Luka on. In the song, the boy Luka is an abused child. In real life, I don't think he was. I think he was just different.”124 views
