Happy almost 2019!

Many people ring in the new year by saying “new year, new me”. Yes…it’s good to aspire for greater things. But I have an additional urging:

Love yourself where you right where you are. Today. Embrace your beauty. Your whole entire messy, gorgeous self!

Embrace Your Beauty is how I’m entering 2019. Because, while it is well and good to reach for the stars, we need to remember to be tender towards ourselves during the journey.

During the course of 2018 I came to a realization. I viewed certain aspects of my personality as flawed. I also realized those same “flawed” parts as well as all the “good” parts make up ME!

We are the sum of many aspects and dimensions. That’s what makes us each our own unique, individual magnificent selves.

I am done with viewing certain aspects of myself as bad or flawed. I embrace it all, while still moving towards the aspirations that light up my soul.

As Danielle LaPorte says, “You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously.”

Tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us. Savor the journey. Be compassionate to yourself.  Embrace your own unique beauty today.
