There are clouds in my eyes
From all the tears I didn’t cry.
There’s no sun in my soul
For it rose behind the mountain
Today
And as I ran to the other side of the mountain,
Working hard to catch a glimpse of the yellow sky,
I missed the sun setting
At my very own side.
I should have stayed,
Waited
Cried
Patiently
Until the bitterness had dried
And I was ready to run again.
I wish I had shed these tears
When I had the chance to
And now they’ve made me bitter
Poisoning the yellow sunrise
Making me miss the pink sunset
Feeling nothing,
This bad, heavy,
Red
Kind of nothingness.
