About The Awakening

A profound change is upon us, a “Spiritual Awakening.” Millions of sensitive souls can feel it. It is emotionally troubling for many of those it is affecting, as it begins with much doubt and confusion. Only the fully awakened understand it. Every living thing on the planet Earth will be affected by it.

I consider the Awakening process to start the moment we begin to question the spiritual teachings of our childhood, especially our understanding of reality. Curiosity is the trigger that awakens us.

First, we start to question things we have accepted as truth. Then we begin to question the reasons for our existence. Challenging our lifelong beliefs causes internal conflict and uncertainty.

So, we seek out new answers to some timeless questions. Questions like, is there really a God or are the scientists right and “Creation was an accident.” We begin to contemplate our self-awareness. Understanding the mysteries of life becomes a priority for us.

At this point, we will have outgrown our past conception of reality and are entering the process of Awakening. What’s needed is a reassessment of our sense of self-identity. We have challenged the status quo, and there is no going back. A caterpillar can become a butterfly, but a butterfly will never be a caterpillar again.

Here is where a little bit of knowledge, and some understanding, can save us a lot of emotional discomforts. Like the butterfly, we need to learn to accept a new awareness, a different reality. We need to know who, what, and where we are in the grand scheme of things.

We all have a different purpose with different lessons to learn, so the search for a deeper spiritual understanding will take each of us on a different path. I take comfort knowing each path will lead us to the same place, a place where we understand the mind of God.

The path is internal. Before we set foot on it, we must develop an awareness, a feeling of “Self”, that is separate from our body. This detachment makes the journey possible. Meditation will help you do so.

To fully accept a new spiritual reality, we must believe that each of us is an infinite, formless, awareness, an intelligent being that enters the physical plane for a specific reason, to learn about “life,” by living it.

When you truly believe that, you are ready for the journey.
