Getting the job done- How to be mindful when putting together a presentation

Mindfulness is when the mind is in the sate of active and open awareness of what is going in the present. The aim of achieving mindfulness is to be present and learn from your experience without distractions. This can be used as a powerful tool when presenting at work. The way your audience interoperate and understand your presentation is hugely based on how they absorb it. Being able to absorb a presentation well is based on their mindset.

Most presenters make the mistake of assuming that putting a presentation together or even presenting one is stressful. They already decide in their minds they are under a lot of pressure and so the task at hand feels almost impossible. So let’s take a look and break down the construction of a presentation. One of the mains parts of a presentation is the call to action.

The main objective of a presentation is to typically persuade your audience to try and carry out an action you have put in place. This can sometimes be to invest in the company if you are talking to investors and stakeholders or to help grow your business by adopting new strategies. Whatever it may be as the presenter, it is crucial for you to make sure that your CTA is clear to understand, easy to implement and works for your audience.

What is a call to action?

A call to action is a marketing term which is used across many businesses, especially in line with trying to sell something to an audience either for monetary value or reaction. It is the action of creating a device which is designed to prompt either an immediate or delayed response from your audience, encouraging them to buy into the idea or product that you are trying to sell.
