The Beating Box: A Poem

I have a beautiful home.

I am in awe of it’s comfort, it’s detail, it’s contrast.

In this world, I have two homes.

Watch as my body stands proud in it’s beauty, in it’s strength; a natural wonder.

In this world, I have many homes.

Breathe in the countless doorways in which I have been welcomed through, the friendships in which I have grown.

In this world, I have an even bigger home.

Witness, as it embraces all that is, as it encompasses the webs in which we are all one.

In this world,

I have been home.

I have been loved.

I have been seen.

I see.

I am love.

I am home.

And it started with a beating box.
