A lot of people travel to the beautiful country of Mexico to get a life-time experience of the incredible resorts and big tourist centers such as Tulum, Cancun, Punta Cana, or Cozumel. However, only a few people know about the rest of the country and its culture.

 

Mexico is one of the best choices to backpack around, spend a relaxing vacation, or drive through. But, why? There is a million exciting stuff that you can choose to do with some incredibly friendly locals.

  • Visit the local markets – Every town of the country has a busy and diverse market that reflects its culture and tradition. You can wander around and experience the food, clothes, and other regional stuff. Two of the most popular markets are the Mercado Ciudadela for handmade artwork, and Oaxaca’s Mercado Benito Juárez for local foods including juices, and grasshopper tacos.

 

  • Go diving – With a diverse marine life, the Mexican seas have are gifted with some of the ‘world’s best diving spots. The country has abundant coral reefs which include the Great Maya Barrier Reef (the second largest reef system in the world). Besides diving, the country is also famous amongst snorkelers, sports fishers, and almost every water sport enthusiasts.

 

  • Roam around Mexico City’s Chapultepec Park – Chapultepec is counted amongst the ‘world’s largest city parks. The park encompasses the Mexico City Zoo, La Feria amusement park and the Museum of Anthropology. There is an extensive collection of sculptures, jewels, and artifacts from ancient Mexican civilizations that are exhibited in the museum.

 

 

  • Explore Zócalo (Plaza de la Constitución) – Located in the heart of Mexico City, the Zócalo plaza dates back to Aztec times. It encompasses the Templo Mayor and the Palacio Nacional.

 

  • Relax in Cancun – Cancun is the ideal place which can offer you a crazy-fun party in the sun. Also, the site has some of the most amazing hidden local markets and restaurants that are known for its authentic food. And if you just want to relax, then there are spas, resorts, and picturesque beaches.

 

Fashion tips when traveling to Mexico – 

 

The Mexican fashion is all about European cuts combined with the ‘country’s natural fibers, like cotton bark and agave. It also has beautiful textiles which make its way to handbags, shoes, and shawls.

 

The list below will help you decide what to carry when visiting the beautiful country of Mexico.

 

For women – 

 

  • Jumpsuits – They can be considered as one of the best choices as they are super comfortable for market shopping, evening beach walks, and Saturday brunches. There are stores in Mexico that only sell jumpsuits! Amazing, right?

 

  • A pair of white and black jeans – Jeans are comfortable when you are wandering around the country and in the streets. Try to get pants without any trekking wear details, such as side zippers or logos.

 

  • Leather jacket – Leather jacket can be your go-to-choice unless you are visiting the coast in the summer. A simple tee-shirt with a nice pair of denim can make you look good.

 

  • Solid black or white tee-shirt – A pure white or pure black tee-shirt made with natural fibers can help you spend a comfortable holiday in Mexico. Also, you can get both long-sleeved as well as short-sleeved tees.

 

  • Short boots – Short boots help to inserts or arch supports for long walks as well as make you look stylish in almost every outfit. However, do not go monochromic with your outfit and try to break them with contrast colors.

 

For men – 

 

  • Graphic tees and hoodies – Tees and hoodies with graphic prints are loved a lot in Mexico. This type of clothing can make you feel comfortable as well as give you a more native feel.

 

  • Huaraches – This is traditional leather sandals which are immensely popular in the country. They are light, comfortable, and cooling lace-up, which makes it a perfect ‘men’s footwear choice.

 

  • Guayabera shirts – They are traditional cotton or linen embroidered shirts that are best for men to distinguish themselves on occasions which are formal such as weddings or parties. Also, these shirts are suitable for the beach.

 

  • Leather bracelets – This fashion has been there for a while now. No matter what you age is, it looks good on almost everybody. You will find a lot of men in the evenings with bracelets and scarves to make them look cool.

 

Mexico is a magical place. You can do almost everything there. It is a place that can be considered next to paradise.
