Aging in the New Millenia

Aging is tough in today’s day and age. With social media and constant coverage of beautiful celebrities it’s tough to look in the mirror sometimes. However nowadays there are more remedies and solutions to stop aging and help you look younger than there ever was before. Aging also isn’t all about the looks, it’s difficult to realize that your mind isn’t what it was before and you may be slowly declining. However the future looks bright and there’s many new studies out there saying they can reverse this process all together.

Better Ways to Age

There are plenty of ways to age gracefully, mostly holistic natural approaches that you can easily do every day. Better aging is a way to make minor changes that can affect your overall health and beauty. One thing to stay conscious of is applying sunscreen and moisturizing. These two things help protect your skin and make it glow, it also will help with fine lines and dark circles on your face. Other things to stay conscious of is maintaining a healthy blood pressure and cholesterol rate, exercise regularly and avoid smoking. These things will not only make you look good but make you feel good. Another practice of better aging is doing brain exercises, it’s not all about the outside factors and taking care of your brain is a huge aspect of aging. By doing cognitive brain exercises like puzzles, writing, and even meditation, you become less stressed and more aware. Meditation is said to even slow down or reverse mental declines. Try focusing on the positives in your life and maintain a good attitude. Your attitude is a way that you cope with stress, being able to cope with stress is a important predictor of healthy aging and can save you from physical disease. Getting your body moving and physical is a great way to brighten your mood, stay healthy, and regulate your sleep cycle. All great things when it comes to aging and overall health.

Anti-Aging

Anti-aging research is something that may seem far-fetched, but it’s happening right now and the studies are successful. Most of this is thanks to stem cell research and using stem cells to reverse aging. These studies are not only focusing on reversing the aging process but it’s also working towards preventing Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Stem cells are used to regenerate and repair, by putting young cells in older bodies, they begin to rejuvenate and repair what the old stem cells couldn’t. By using these stem cells to stop disease, the body stays healthy and younger for a longer period of time. It’s said that healthier and longer lifespans is going to be a reality sooner than you think.

Aging is going to be something completely different in years to come opposed to what we think of it today. There are new scientific studies coming out saying human lifespans may be able to reach up to 150 years. With better ways to age and anti-aging research thriving, we have something great to look forward to as human beings.
