Be with everything, but hold to nothing

Feet

detached from familiar ground

and yet,

somehow,

do not fall.

Currents are pushing and pulling,

but an internal barbell leaves her body standing firm.

She listens to one quiet melody,

so to return to the slow dance of her soul.

In the ever-changing reality,

she is surrounded with

everything

but clings to

nothing.

By trusting her  inner anchor

She knows

that as she goes on in new directions,

The calm inside her remains.

She knows

that if for a brief moment she loses herself,

she can let go of any griping attempt,

and trust the anchor to get her back.

she knows

that when the movement of colors and shapes dazzle her vision

She could regain her clarity

If only for a moment she would close her eyes

And allow them to merge

With the colors

coming out of her.

And so she will repeatedly remind her self,

That the only way to remain still

without familiar ground,

is to be with everything and hold to nothing

because all she needs

is herself.
