Longtime Motor City singer/songwriter and stroke survivor “Jotown” has just released a new song that he intends will help heal some of the division that is hurting America at this time. The song is called “What Kind of America” (Do We Want To Be?)

The bridge of the song asks us to “Meet Me in the Middle” for that is where Jotown believes that the healing of our country will begin. The song features a who’s who of great Detroit musicians.

While Jotown admits that the idea that his little song could help heal America is a bit grandiose, he says he still believes in the power of music, and the power of Love. After his recent stroke he has reevaluated his purpose and mission as a musician.

He says; “I have spent 40 years performing in metro-Detroit in every kind of gig and situation. And the main reason that I have had some degree of success is that at a certain point I realized that my job is to put Love in any room that I perform in. So that is what I do.

“So my song is the same kind of thing. Except it’s a much bigger room.”
