This special drink takes me back to my time in Northern India. Every sip brings a wave of nostalgia. The smells of the spice market, the crispness of the Darjeeling tea ground me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
A Marc Thomas is simple, black tea and bitters. It does just as good of a job settling the stomach after a big meal as stimulating insightful conversation.
Here is my recipe:
1 teabag or 2tsp of black tea (In my opinion Darjeeling is best)
6oz of filtered water
add 3 dashes of aromatic bitters
Bring the water to a boil. Let the kettle sit one minute before pouring.
Steep for 3-4 minutes
Add three dashes of the aromatic bitters
In an overly sweet world, enjoy the complex bitter and aromatic profile of the drink!
