Women Who Light The Spark In Me

Our world is such a beautiful and diverse place, full of women who empower and inspire. Looking around, it can be difficult to pick just a small handful of them to write about. There are so many to choose from. But, if I had to pick my top 5, these beautiful women would be it:

1. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

These days, politics is very messy. Politicians lie and greedy corporations want to control everything that they can. It can be tough trying to determine who you can trust and which candidates think more with their hearts and less with their wallets. I love Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez because she has a heart of gold. She isn’t afraid of standing up against what is wrong in the world, even if the majority stand against her. She wants to change the world and make it better a place and you can see through all of her philanthropic work, her humanitarian efforts, and her compassionate empathy towards people.

You can tell that everything she does comes from the heart! We have a real lack of that in politics and the world needs more women like her. She has such a fiery passion that is so highly contagious. I believe that she is going to reach higher places as well.

2. J.K. Rowling

Being a bookworm, I’ve got to add my favorite author, J.K. Rowling to this list. Before she wrote the Harry Potter books, J. K. Rowling was sitting at rock bottom. Life hadn’t always been kind to her and she was in a very bad place when she began to write her now-famous novels. But she poured her heart and soul into her writing, without any guarantee that it would ever become anything.

But it did, and all of her hard work and her hope paid off more than she ever dreamed it could! She is now a multi-billionaire and donates so much to charities and even has her own school for the arts. She has given back so much and is a wonderful example of hard work and not giving up.

3. Amber Thibaut

Ms. Amber Thibaut is all about making things with love and creating special memories. So much so, that she made a living out of doing just that! Amber combined her love of her Hawaiian culture and her love of family and created Coco Moon, an entire line of buttery soft baby essentials.

Anybody can just walk into a store and buy something for their baby, but Amber wanted to create something more special; something that would have meaning and hold memories. She managed to create this little company from the ground up, while also balancing being a mother at the same time! I feel like she inspires us to invest in love, rather than blindly buy.

She built a business that creates lasting memories and she showcases that even being a mother, doesn’t mean that you have to put your dreams on hold. She is a shining example of hard work and dedication.

4. Malala Yousafzai

If this woman isn’t a modern-day super-hero, then I don’t know who is. Malala is one of the bravest women out there! She fought for women’s rights despite being a target for the Taliban. Her very life was in danger and she could have been killed for her beliefs, but she stood her ground and did not falter.

Today, she is safe now (thankfully!) but she continues to spread her message and refuses to ever back down for anything or anybody. Her story is a beautiful example of bravery against evil.

5. Ms. Greta Thunberg

Not so much of a woman yet, but I added her to the list because at just a very young age, Greta was inspiring the world to save our planet. Going up against powerful people in politics and create a “school strike for the climate,” Greta is making some serious waves, despite only being a kid. She is a beacon for the younger generation, helping to educate those who don’t know what the climate crisis is or how to repair our planet. She not only inspires the younger generation to take a stand, but she inspires the elder generation too. We can all come together to save our world; it’s up to us.

**********

I think that there are so many more women who deserve a spot on this list, but these 5 women will always reign supreme in my list! I can’t wait to see what they do next and what other light they bring to our world.
