My weight loss journey has been a challenging one since I was around 25 years old. Over the last 13 years, my weight has fluctuated. I have struggled with eating well and sticking to a fitness schedule. It was a course I signed up for six years ago, but I never finished due to the timing not being correct. During my 40-day fast is when I took the course and passed my exam to become a Certified Holistic Life coach. When Covid-19 was released in March, the holistic life coach course assisted me in getting back on board with my weight loss and eating habits. I began to make minor dietary adjustments.
I began walking every day after that. Following that, I joined Planet Fitness and Lifetime Fitness. I now have two gym memberships. This began for me in August of 2020. I went to the doctor’s office and signed in. I had lost 20 pounds of my own by March. However, there was only one small issue: I was still overweight. I was 240 pounds when I first began taking proper care of myself. I ended up forgiving and letting go of old mindsets, old assumptions about myself, and forgiving myself and others during that time span. I noticed that after I began exercising, forgiving, releasing old habits the weight started to come off more easily.
The doctor and I formulated a solution because my BMI levels were high still high, and the doctor was worried because I have a family history of diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. I have never had any of these health problems before.
I’m sharing my weight-loss experience and being honest about the steps I’m taking to be more successful. Reading, meditating on bible scriptures, exercise, affirmations, portion control meals, and avoiding negativity all has assisted with weight loss journey.
